Overview & Responsibilities / Descripción y Responsabilidades

  • Provide direct guidance and direct supervision to the cemetery administrative and cemetery superintendent staff.
  • Recruit, hire and retain employees based on company standards.
  • Work directly with sales team to accomplish company goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for conducting weekly team meetings with the departmental managers.
  • Work with sales team to increase sales.
  • Ensure timely recognition of all merchandise deliveries.
  • Manage merchandise and property inventory.
  • Manage appearance of physical plant and grounds.
  • Work with customers to ensure complaints/request is handled in a timely manner.
  • Ensure timely completion and delivery of all reports.
  • Monitor and manage the financial (budget) performance of location.
  • Implement and manage internal controls and procedures.
  • Ensure safety compliance.
  • Any other task or projects assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications / Requisitos y Aptitudes

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in management and personnel supervision.
  • General understanding of basic accounting principles; specifically budgeting procedures.
  • Computer proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Critical thinking skills of solving operational challenges.
  • Pro-active, understands urgency and prioritize in getting tasks accomplished.
  • Detail oriented, Self-starter and Good attitude.
  • Able to multi-task.
  • Leadership and problem solving abilities.
  • Must be willing to work weekends, holidays and flexible hours.
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Valid Puerto Rico driver’s license with a clean driving record. Necessary Major Life Activities Seeing, talking, walking, hearing, and some travel.
