Overview & Responsibilities / Descripción y Responsabilidades

  • Efficiently manage the overall day‐to‐day operations of the funeral home.
  • All Aspects of Funeral Services.
  • Working with Funeral Home Manager to accomplish goals and objectives while working within company guidelines.
  • Assist families with arrangement process and direct funerals.
  • Willingness and ability to make removals and perform preparation room duties.
  • Assist on funeral services by supervising the parking of cars, ushering, driving funeral vehicles, assisting at chapel and church services, assisting at the cemetery, floral delivery, picking up supplies, participating at special functions, ensuring refreshments are available and other duties, as required.
  • General housekeeping duties.
  • This position requires physical contact with the remains of the deceased.
  • Any other duties as directed by management.

Requirements & Qualifications / Requisitos y Aptitudes

  • High School Diploma; preferably with some college.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in management and personnel supervision.
  • Ability to work with managers and employees, showing leadership and support
  • An individual that will accept "ownership" of business as well as a commitment to grow the business.
  • Willingness to improve customer and employee satisfaction.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Excellent phone communication skills.
  • Detail oriented, Self-starter, Good attitude.
  • Neat, professional appearance.
  • Knowledge of computers and some software would be an asset, or willingness to learn
  • Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, evenings, overtime, flexible hours and rotate shifts.
  • Valid Puerto Rico Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to obtain Puerto Rico Comision de Servicio Publico Funeral License.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of lifting, pushing & pulling approximately 150 pounds.
